Effects of smoking on success of falling pregnant
My wife is trying to fall pregnant again, however she still smokes up to 20 cigarettes per day (the lightest brand on the market). Are there any negative effects of the smoking on our success to fall pregnant?

Dear Harvard

There are several publications to suggest that smoking directly affects conception as well as success of an on going pregnancy. Despite not being associated with abnormalities, it is associated with decrease fetal growth and increase in other complications during the pregnancy. My advice would obviously be to decrease smoking or abstain from smoking competely if possible.
