endometriosis & pregnancy
I'm 25 and have just had endometriosis removed from my pelvis and had a dnc. what i would like to know is what are the chances of me falling pregnant and how soon can i start trying. Before the surgery my husband and i had been trying for a year but to this day nothing. Is there anything i can take to help conceive.
Dear Lee
The answer would depend on the extent of the endometriosis and what was told to you by the surgeon doing the procedure. In advanced endometriosis IVF may still be a better option than conservative management, but this has to be individualised. I presume that sperm parameters have been checked and are normal and that there are no other coital factors.
