falling pregnant
Hi
About 3 years ago i had a reversal vasectomy, have had three tests and live sperm are present. However my wife and i have been trying to have her fall pregnant but a whole year and still no joy.
We are having sex often as soon as it is fourteen days after her period, and have sex for the seven days which should be her fertile time. What could the problem be.
Thanks

Dear Kelly
It is very often the case that following a vasectomy anti-sperm antibodies may be present. This will cause sperm clumping and affect sperm motility and function. Also, although live sperm are present after a vasectomy, it is very unusual to have an adequate volume and adequte number of sperm in the ejaculate.
Since there are a number of sperm parameters which need to be assesed for natural conception to occur i would suggest a full and complete spermiogram be done as a matter of urgency. I would be very interested in the results of the spermiogram so as to be of further assistance to you.
