Hello Doc

I went to my Gynie about the pain I am experiencing while being on Clomid, he said becaude my period is only due in a week, that pregnancy is not a possibility, and if it is, too soon to show, even in a blood test.

He did a scan and said everything is fine, just the (endo) is very thick, which according to him is not a bad thing.

All I want to know Doc is why am I still experiencing so much pain and discomfort, and why did the Gynie put me on Clomid before my period and not on my period.

Thanks amanda

Dear Amanda

A very thick endometrium may in fact be the very first sign of a very early pregnancy.
Therefore I would rather do a pregnancy test soon, to confirm or exclude this. However, should the pregnancy test in a weeks time be negative, then I would strongly re-evaluate the situation from a perspective of ovarian cysts or extremely high oestrogen levels, secondary to the use of clomid.
