Miscarriage after clomid.
I am trying to fall pregnant again on clomid after I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks. Gynae said it was an inevatable miscarriage. I went on clomid 50mg and fell pregnant on the first course. What are my chances of falling pregnant again on the first course, and having another miscarriage? The test done after the D& C came up with nothing. No virus, infection. He said that I can fall pregnant, does that mean I don' t have fertility problems and that I just need some help to ovulate? We are trying for almost 2 years now. I don' t have a normal cycle. Sometimes I only have my periods every 3 to 4 months. Is there another way to regulate my cycle and ovulation?
Dear Anel
The fact that you fell pregnant on the course was very good however the chances of falling pregnant on the first attempt on Clomid is usually around 15% if there are no other problems associated or related to fertility. The fact that you fell pregnant the first time using Clomid usually implies that you shouldn’t have problems of fertility and it’s in fact a very good test that most of your structures are normal. It is important that you don’t expect to fall pregnant again the first time around and you should continuing trying Clomid for the next 3 to 6 cycles under medical supervision. If taking the Clomid correctly and ovulation is achieved then this is the best way to regulate your cycle and try for a pregnancy.
