One ovary
Hi Doc

I just wanted to find out...how would an IVF treatment be different if you have one ovary? If the average success rate of IVF with ICSI is about 35%, would my chances be lower since i have one ovary?

Thanks,
Lady

Dear Lady

Fortunately the success rate is not altered by the fact that one ovary is removed. However the overall long term picture is that the liklihood of ovarian resistance and exhaustion would be much sooner than if both ovaries are present.
