Hi Doc

Thanks for replying to 441. If I understand you correctly you said my progesterone level indicate I am in stage before ovulation (begining of menstruation) How is this possible, as that test was done on my D21 of cycle... and on day 11 scan I showed 2 follicles and according to her they were ready to pop!!!!

What's happening to my cycle thenb???

Progesterone levels start increasing post ovulation and reaches it maximum point seven days after ovulation. It thereafter starts declining and goes down to basal levels approximtely 4-5 days after the maximum peak is reached.
If ovulation occurs on day 11 , then the ideal time to do the progesterone level is on day 18 and not on day 21. It is possible that the level of progetsrone may have been on its way down and I would expect you to menstrate on day 25 or 26 of your cycle. However, should your menstrual period start on day 28 or thereafter, it is more than likely that you did not menstruate at all hence the low progesterone level.
