50 min Max Training?
Is it true that training exceeding 50 minutes becomes a waste - due to certain hormones being released by the body after about 50 minutes?

Hi there
I have no idea where you heard this! Different hormones are being release all the time when you exercise, so there is nothing magic about 50 minutes of training. How long you train for, depends totally on what your goals are.

More is not ALWAYS better, however, if you are training to run eg a marathon (42.2km), needless to say you will often be training for longer than 50 minutes. Naturally, with any programme, you need to build up gradually, since doing too much too soon can result in burnout or injury.
