Was is most effective:

3 times a week 30mins cycling
5 times a week 15mins cycling?

Honest answer - 5 times a week doing 30 minutes is the best. Of the two options given, I would lean towards the 30 minute session. To me, a 15 minute exercise session is very short and doesn't achieve too much. Of course, any exercise is good, and if you accumulate training time during the day, then it all helps. So those 15 minutes are not wasted, but I do believe that 30 minutes achieves more. I would, however encourage you to train more than 3 times a week - 3 days a week means that you don't train more often than you do, and that's not ideal. So adding a 4th day makes a big difference.
