Jogging - Ouch!
Hi there
I have just started jogging again fater a few years.
I remember the last time being a little easier than this time.
I find that when I am walking (generally) my legs are fine, but when I sit at my desk the top of my legs are so painful.
I am trying my best to stay motivated, but this pain is really an irritation to me.
Please give me some advice on how to make my new "task at hand" a little less painful.

It's hard to know whether the pain you are describing is just natural pain caused by perhaps muscle stiffness as you have only recently started jogging, or whether it is an injury. If it is natural pain, then at the risk of being blunt, it's something you just have to deal with until you are a little stronger because there is very little you can do to avoid stiffness when you start exercise from the beginning. So, that is the bad news, the good news is that over time, you will be able to get better just by sticking with it, and will hopefully one day look back and wonder what the fuss is about.

Now, having said that, it may be that there are things you can alter in your approach to make this a little more bearable. I'm not sure what your training has been like, but perhaps if you backed off the training for a little and reduced the load a little, then it would make it easier to adapt to the new 'stress' of running. This may work by giving your muscles the chance to adapt, and then you would be able to recover a lot faster after training.
