Nice lyf?!
Ek hoop dit is o.k. as ek in Afrikaans skryf:

Ek wil net graag uitvind wat ek kan doen om n "slim" lyf te kry. Ek wil net graag om raad vra i.v.m. n mooi lyf. Ek wil graag n six pack, mooi fris bene, sterk arms ens he. Ek weet nie of dit gym oefening of wat gaan vereis nie, maar ek is bereid om enige iets te doen om daaraan te begin werk. Ek hoop nie ek pla met simpel vrae nie, aangesien daar hordes ander is om te beantwoord. Totsiens,

Thanks for the question - it's not a problem, the simple questions are the most important ones, and to be honest, yours is not really all that simple. Exercise is the answer, to put it bluntly.

Which exercise you do is up to you. My advice would be to find the exercise that you enjoy most, whether it be running, cycling, playing rugby or hockey at school, or going to gym. There is no one exercise that you have to do that will work better than the others, only that you should exercise often and consistently. Therefore, if you are conisidering joining a gym, then that is a great idea, and I would encourage you to do it, but only if you are sure that you can commit to going regularly. Otherwise, doing a sport at school is a really good idea, and I would encourage you to think about this as well.

With regards to the gym training, you need to look at a combination of cardio exercises, and the weight training for the muscle development. For a programme, I would suggest looking at the Health24 website, and then click on 'Fitness' and then on "Shape up". IN the shape up section, you will find a number of different programmes, and they all include weight training and cardio training. This is what I would suggest for you to start with.
