Skouer "rotator cuff repair"
Ek het so 4 maande gelede n "rotator cuff repair" gehad op my regter skouer. Ek wil baie graag met oefeninge (gewigte) begin, maar ondervind nog baie styfheid in die skouer. Indien wel, wat se oefeninge beveel u aan en is gewigte toelaatbaar op hierdie staduim?
Hi JJ
The safest bet by far is to work with a physio or a biokineticist to assess the situation now. With the procedure from 4 months ago, it would be quite normal to have both stiffness and weakness in the affected shoulder. And so you have to begin a process of rehabilitation, first to make sure that the procedure was successful and then to strengthen the shoulder joint. And so while I hate to pass the buck, the best thing you can do is to see a physio or a biokineticist and have it treated under supervision, at least at first. It might only be one or two days, and then you move onto your own training, but this is safer.
Good luck
