sex work
1 of our friends (we're quite a close group of about 10, singles and three couples from varsity) was caught out (a very long story i won't go into), it turns out that off and on he did sex work (renting, prostitution), we know this for a fact (part of the long story) and now everyone is freaking out and talking about this and the phones are buzzing with stories and gossip and some people are saying they never want to see him again etc and other guys are starting a story that he has a drug habit he needs to pay for etc, he just denied everything and is avoiding everything and ducking low (understandably) but everything's very clear, he has been doing this, he's a really hot guy and i can understand (somehow) that he was tempted to do this. what puzzles me is how everyone reacted to this and that some rejected him. me? i find this a bit over-the-top and always found him really hot and i can't help but envy him on some level? that guys would want to pay to spend some time with him or to see him naked? so (blush) my mind has been working over-time and I think it would be soooo coooool to have guys paying to be with you and (deep blush) i almost wish it was ME they wanted? and i know he's met some really hoit guys (he advertised a sports massage and got mainly straight guys he had sex with) but my other firiends wrote him off, and secretly i'm having erotic fantasies about it. so why on earth is there this absolute "thing", like a taboo about having sex for money? what makes it so bad or evil or socially unacceptable when (confession) a part of me wishes i could do it as well?

so why must we jump onto a moral high horse all the time? and what does morality mean anyway - hypocracy? because i DO feel like a hypocrite if agree with my friends and reject him. and if i find the concept erotically charged what does that say about me, am i also morally "bad"?

this whole thing has kinda shaken me up a bit so i wanna hear what everyone here has to say about it, what makes sex work so bad? why is it bad? what is that all about?
