Inheriting deformities
I was born with a deformed left hand. My paternal great grandmother had the same deformity from what we can gather from photos and hearsay.

I had a miscarriage with my first pregnancy at 8 weeks, and in the back of my mind I think it was due to genetic reasons. I am now 20 weeks pregnant again. I am afraid that I might transfer the deformity to my son.

What is the possibility of this happening?

If the same condition was indeed present in your grandmother there is a small change of inheritance. Unfortunately I cannot give you a specific figure, but since you probably does not consider termination of the pregnancy best is not too worry too much about it!
