"Abnormal" scan at 6 weeks
I had a scan two days ago (thought I was about 6 weeks pregnant). Gynae was unhappy with it as all he could see was a sac. He tested my HCG, which came back at 3500, which he said is normal for 5 weeks. I was given 100 mg Utrogestan daily. My questions are: What could possibly be wrong? Am I getting worried too early? Gynae says I have a 50% chance that everything will be ok. Why such low odds? I hope you can help me!

It sounds okay. Perhaps your gynae is worried that there was no fetal pole seen. The HCG level is reassuring though.
