Absent periods
Hi I am a 26 year old woman, I have been on the pill for 10 years but have now missed 5 periods, this has never happened before and I am always careful about taking my pill and taking extra precautions if the need arises. I have done 4 home tests but they are all negative, I don't feel that I am pregnant although I have recently put on weight could this be the cause. Many thanks

There are other causes for absent periods, such as thyroid problems and tumours of the milk producing gland. You should see your doctor for further tests.
