Androgen vs progesterone
Hi I'm 6 weeks pregnant. My dr told me to leave the pill as It would be very difficult for me to get pregnant. 2 Months after that I fell pregnant. The first bloodtest came back saying I was 3 weeks. I went for another test and was then told no it is actually 5 weeks. The dr said something about my bloodsugar intefering with the result.
My dr is now saying that my androgen level is higher then my progesterone levels. He prescribed some herbal remedies. He said that this is a very dangerous situation and needs to be corrected within the next 3 days.
My earliest appointment at a gynae is in 3 weeks.
Pleas give me advice on what high androgen may mean for the baby.

You may have PCOS but this should not be a problem in the pregnancy other than that you are at higher risk for diabetes in pregnancy and should have this checked for. The blood test is not an accurate way of assessing how far the pregnancy is. A scan would be better.
