Are government hospitals safe
I need to know whether government hospitals are safe to give birth especially here in South Africa. Should i be worried?
Government hospitals in the big cities usually have academic doctors working in them (rural areas may be staffed by junior doctors) and therefore the medical treatment is excellent. What is lacking at the government hospitals is the luxury of good food and accommodation and the waiting times are long because of the shortage of staff. You also will not get personal attention as you would in private.
