Bleeding in early pregnancy
I am approx 7 wks preg and have been bleeding for the last 11 days. I have had a pregnancy hormone count which doubled over 48 hours as required and had a scan on Monday which showed a normal fetus and heartbeat. I have been bleeding heavily, more so since the scan and have had clots but no cramping. Why could this be happening and is it possible that I could carry the pregnancy through.

You are having a threatened miscarriage. Many of these will settle down and the pregnancy will carry on normally, but sometimes the pregnancy goes on to miscarry. If you have had heavy bleeding with clots, you should see your doctor again to check whether you have miscarried.
