Contraceptive Injection Causing prolonged periods...
Doc, please help, I am on the 3 month contraceptive injection, and everything was normal until I got my period, I have now had my period for about 3 weeks, and although it is not heavy, it hasn't gone away and has become almost a brown colour. I am very worried about it and would like to know if you know why this is happening and how to fix it. Its only been 1 month since i had the injection.

This is a normal side effect of the injection. It should settle after your second injection. You can have this a bit earlier if you wish.

Best wishes
