Ensure 28-day cycle when going off the pill?
Hi

Is there anything I can do to ensure that my periods will be the same as it was while I was using the pill. Before I started using the pill, my periods were very irregular and the duration always differed as well. My working circumstances makes it very difficult to cope with unexpected periods. Can I do something to ensure regular periods when I stop taking the pill.

Hopeful.

The Pill regulates periods. If you had irregular periods off the Pill, then whatever the underlying cause, they will probably be irregular again. It would be worth consulting your gynaecologist to find out what the reason for this is, but unfortunately there will not be a way of ensuring that they are regular, other than the Pill.
