Few periods- am I ovulating?<br>Few periods - am I ovulating?
Hi
I went off the pill in December 2003 and since then hardly have any periods. I think all together I have had three since then with gaps of the shortest time being 45 days in between. How long should it take to return to "normal"? I want to conceive but can't use the usual prediction tools without any periods. I did lose weight when I went off the pill and do have quite a stressful job. Is there anything that I can take over the counter to resume my normal cycle - hormones or something? Thank you - I look forward to your reply.

It should take about 3 months for your cycle to return to normal. There are no over the counter remedies. You will need to see your doctor to check whether you are ovulating. If not, you may need drugs to stimulate ovulation.

Best wishes
