genital warts
Hi

I just discovered from a Dr that i have genital warts coursed by HPV, what confuses me is that i always use a condom.
They are still very small but a bit painful.
He gave me cream i think its Aldara to apply on the warts, but what about the inside, am i not supposed to get medication to treat the HPV itself ?
And can i go for a pap-smear while on this treatment because i'm really concerned as i don't understand how i got them.

Condoms are not 100% safe. Viruses can still get through, just as women can fall pregnant sometimes despite condom use.
The HPV itself cannot be treated only its effects, in your case, the warts. You can have a pap smear while on treatment.

Best wishes
