girlfriend pregnant?
Subject: Non medical abortion
Posted by: bigfix
Dear Dr I have a girlfriend of 3 years and we have been having protected sex for 6 month up until now. This weekend we had sex and during intercourse, the condom slipped off and I ejaculated without knowing this. My girlfriend took the "morning after pill" an hour later. How avective is the pill? and is the non medical abortion that they just give her pills effective and not harmfull? I really care about my girlfriend and we want children after we get married next year. Thank you

The morning after pill is very effective. She may have a period sooner and heavier than normal - this is normal with the morning after pill.

That is just the thing her period is due yesterday or today and nothing has happend, when should we be testing to see if she is pregnant?

If her period has not started in 2-3 days, do a pregnancy test, though the morning after pill can also upset the cycle.

Best wishes
