Gynae visits after total hysterectomy
I had a total hysterectomy 2 months ago (cervix removed, 1 ovary left). Is there any reason for me to still visit the gynae for "normal" check ups since I think that pap smears will not be needed anymore and I also have an annual mammogram which replaces the breast exam.
If the visit is still neccesary, for what reason and what will then be done? Also the side where the ovary was removed 15 years prior to the hyst is still painfull once a month.

There is no need for pap smears and, unless you have problems, you do not need yearly checks. You could see your GP and be referred when necessary.
