Help! Growing abdomen
Help! my lower abdomen(womb?/uterus?) seems to have enlarged over the past three months and is quite firm and I actually look like I'm pregnant. I was a couple of days late with my period in January but have been having regular periods since then, therefore I never really worried. The part around my nipples also seemed to have enlarged. I have also gained a few unexplained kilos but mostly in my lower abdomen. I have absolutely no energy, my face is puffy and sometimes it feels like fluttering or tiny bubbles popping in my lower abdomen(womb?, Uterus?). I took a home pregnancy test yesterday and it was negative. I have also been on Nordette for 1.5 yrs. I was also on anti-biotics for a chest infection in January that could have affected the Nordette. Can you perhaps offer an explanation? Thanks I really appreciate it. Lianne (20 yrs)

You may have abdominal distension due to bowel gas. If you are constipated or windy, it would fit in with this. You could check a blood pregnancy test to be absolutely sure that you are not pregnant, but if the home test was negative and you have had regular periods, this is unlikely.
