Hi there

I am going for a hysteroscopy to remove a polyp which my gynae suspects is causing my intermenstrual bleeding.

I would like to know how risky the procedure is and will it have any effect on me falling pregnant because I would like to try as soon as possible.

If all should be fine, how long after such a procedure, could I start trying to fall pregnant?

There are very few risks to the procedure. There is a possibility of perforation of the uterus but this seldom happens. It shouold not prevent you from falling pregnant and you should be able to start trying in a couple of weeks.

Best wishes
