Not normal discharge/thrush/irritation!?
Dear Doc

I am at my wits end with this problem!
It all started a few months ago when I got a candida/thrush-like discharge and a bit of an itch.
I just increased the yogurt in my diet and avoided sugar and wheat (which usually works, but didnt this time). I was taking staminogro at the time.
Everytime I got my period, it would stay away for two weeks, and then start again in full force. I tried canesten, garlic, flushing out my system with a lot of fluids. I even followed a very strict low GI diet and cut out ALL sugar. I douched with bicarb, then avoided all douching, soaps and water down there.

At this point my fertility doc, had me on Fertiboost, and when I spoke to him about my problem, he said that it is normal and it is because of a hormonal imbalance down there.

It is now 8months later, and as soon as we have intercourse after my period, the white, cottage-cheese like discharge is back. Sometimes my vulva is a bit swollen and red, other time just the discharge.

(I also had a papsmear done, which was normal)
(currently I am taking tablets that gets rid of Candida in the body)

WHAT DO I DO????

Please, ANY advise will be appreciated. I am desperate to feel normal and attractive again.

Your partner should be treated as well as you will reinfect each other. Also look at the Top 5 questions for ways of preventing recurrent thrush.

Best wishes
