PAINFUL INTERCOURSE
I am a 49 year old married woman who presumes she's in menopause! Have not had period since November last year and have slight sweats at night. I have however, been suffering with pain in the virgina when having sex hence - not sure if this could be caused from being too dry - I have read that this could also be a side-effect? Please confirm and let me know what to do to rectify the situation.

It is likely that there is some atrophy of the vagina due to the menopause. You could try using Premarin cream twice a week.
