Please help, thrush, sore sex, don't know what else to do
Hi. I went to the gynae, he said I have thrush, I took the medicine he gave me, but it didn't help, I got a cream from the chemist for thrush and have been using that for a few days. I don't have a discharge or any itch. But when my boyfriend and I have sex it hurts on the opening of my vagina very much and still is sore and sensitve the next day. I'm really getting desperate, I want to be able to have sex with my boyfriend without all the pain. What could the problem be? I'm not tighter than average down there and he is not bigger than average so it can't be that reason why it is so sore. My gynae didn't find any other problems besides the thrush but I've taken medicine and cream for that. I'M DESPERATE TO GET SORTED OUT!!!

Thrush can cause painful sex for a while after the discharge has disappeared. If you have had this for a long time, howver, there may be another reason. Possibly you tense your muscles and this can be painful. It may also be due to a lack of lubrication. You could try using KY jelly.
