polysystic ovaries
i recently went for a checkup to a gyane for the first time. He told me I have polysystic ovaries. I know what they are but then he sent me for a blood test for an androgen profile. Please explain what that is? Also how come he did not do a pap smear. Is it because I am not sexually active?

You probably did not have a pap smear because you are not sexulally active. Androgens are hormones which may be increased with PCOS which is why your doctor is checking them.
