Pregnancy- Flying overseas
I’ve heard that it is not safe to fly the first 3 months of pregnancy. Is this true?
If possible, we are planning to get pregnant/conceive April-June, we would like to have the baby beginning next year (Feb-March).
My brother is getting married on 1 September in Spain. We’ll be flying from JHB to Madrid.
Please let me know if it will be safe to fly if I’m 3-5 months pregnant or should I wait until after the wedding.
I’m a healthy 26 (turning 27 in September) year old.
Many thanks

The main problem with flying when pregnant is that there are no medical facilities if anything did happen. Flying per se does not cause problems, but there is a higher chance of leg clots, so be sure to drink lots of water and move frequently.
