Pregnancy vs German Measles
Hi I just found out I am pregnant. I came into contact with a child that might (mom thinks) have German Measles or have a rash due to a throught infection. I am worried sick! The mother promised me she will take the child for blood tests, because the pediatrition couldn't say for sure what the illness is.
I went to the clinic to get blood tested, but the sister there say it can only be picked up in your blood after 2 weeks.
What is the chances that I might have picked the virus up? If he have German Measles? I must admit, I didn't play with the child only touched his leg once thats it.

The first thing to do would be for you to have a blood test to see if you are immune to German measles. If you are, there is no problem.
