Side effects of going off Triphasel

Hi There

I have been on Triphasel for about 11 years, and decided to give my body a 'break' 3 years ago for 6 months where I went off the pill. (Although I now know that it was not the wisest thing to do) Anyway, I felt great that 6 months and had no side affects.

I now went off Triphasel again on the 1st of Jan, because my hubby and I am TTC. Since about 2 weeks after I stopped taking it I started having terrible side affects, I felt ill, had fever, extreme tiredness and my period was a day late. Since then I have gained a lot of weight, I weigh myself at the gym every week and I started gaining about 500g per week - I have even drastically started cutting my food intake where I am now almost constantly hungry but yet I am still gaining.

My breasts are unbearably sore, it is sensitive and burns and has enlarged.

I have constant mood swings that have me in tears!

Please tell me whether anyone had this type of side effects when going OFF the pill yet!! Everyone tells me you gain weight when going on the pill, but I have always maintained my weight wilst on the pill, I had no problems whatsoever.

Some women actually lose weight on the Pill, so stopping it sould cause some weight gain. The tender breasts should settle and having slightly less regular periods is normal off the pill.
