Hi.
I am a very serious athlete and take part in events most weekends. Now and then I have major events which are long endurance ones up to 5hrs long. My period is very heavy and a large tampon only lasts 1-2hrs before leaking. It is embarrassing if this happens during an event where I cannot change. I have an event next week and was wandering if there is any way I can skip a period? I am not on any pill. I also dont want to do my body harm. These events seldome clash with my period.

Thank you

You could take Provera, starting 7-10 days before your period is due and carrying on till you wish to have a period.

Best wishes
