Unknown headache type
After a weekend of headaches. After taking every painkiller still no change. The Monday I had an attack at work. I had a terrible pain that was coming from my neck into the back of my head. The pain was so unbearable that it felt like a hammer. With the headache came hot sweats and a bit of fever. The pounding pain came in 10 minute intervals. I felt like I was going crazy and did not know what to do. I went to my GP who gave me an injection. The next day the headache was not too bad but was still there. I have had migraine headaches but this was nothing compare to one of those. Please help.

Dear Nicky,

Sometimes with severe headaches, the nerves to the scalp become hypersensitive, and this can lead to the kind of severe pain that you experienced. To be sure though, I would need more information – please feel free to call me on 0825555763 to discuss your problem.
