clicking bones
Hello - my daughter is almost 11. She weighs 45kg and was born quite large. Lately she has been complaining of her bones (knees, elbows etc) 'clicking' when she moves. I can hear them clicking too. What is causing this??? Many thanks. Emma
Dear Emma
If there is no pain involved, and she is quite active, there is no need to worry. If she has discomfort that is exacerbated by exercise, she needs to see an orthopaedic surgeon just to makes sure that there is no dislocation etc. If you are still worried even though she has no pain, it would set your mind at ease to visit one in any case.
