Dear Sunshine
Osteopaenia is the broad term for bone loss and is the stage of bone loss before you get osteoporosis. There are three stages of osteopaenia- mild, moderate and severe (just before you are diagnosed with osteoporosis). You can also call the Osteoporosis Foundation on 021 931 7894 if you need more info.
