Hives driving me insane!

I developed hives about a week after my baby was born - 22 months ago. I did nothing for about 3 months, but found that it was getting worse and worse by the day. I consulted a GP who prescribed anti-histamines which i have been taking daily for the past 19 months.

About a year ago i also developed hives related asthma where my lungs and throat actually swell up and i can't breathe. I use cortisone when it's really bad, but generally just use an inhaler (2-4 times a day!).

I have tried various chemical medications including anti-allergy meds and I also tried chinese herbal medication (which helped, but did not alleviate the problem).

I'm just so fed up with this now. I am constantly exhausted from the medication and lack of sleep as i often wake up 2-3 times a night, unable to breathe! and it's so embarrassing to walk around with these bright red welts all over me, or my face and eyes all swollen up. If i stop taking the medication, the condition becomes unbearable - i break out in welts and bumps and i itch all over. It's very distressing.

PLEASE could you advise if there is ANYTHING out there that could possibly alleviate the symptoms. Is there actually a cure for hives?

use salmon oil 3000mg daily and consult a natural practitioner who can assist you. There is a law that moves form outside (skin) to inside (asthma - chest) which needs addressing. This condition needs more special attention than me just suggesting a few things to use.

Let me know if you need any suggestions where to go.
