5 year old gets exhausted

my 5 and half year old is playing " fun"  rugby at play school but the boys are year older than him and can apparently run faster. His playing and trying to keep up and is pushing himself until he is exhausted. He is looks as big as them and weights 27kg. He doesn' t look over weight but is definalty quiet solid. I have had him at a dietician and ensure that he eats a healthy diet but he has a big appitiet. is there any reason for concern or should I have him check out eg heart, etc.

Your son does seem to be overweight as his weight exceeds the top line on the normal weight chart. You have not given me his height and he may just be a very big boy, but the evidence seems to be pointing to the fact that he is indeed overweight. It would be a good idea to consult a trained dietician.
