Is my 14 week old teething?

Morning, my son who is 14 weeks old was born with a gingival cyst, which has gone down a lot since birth. However he now has a big white spot right next to it where a 1st bottom tooth would come out. He has been battling and is not himself for the past two weeks, he has been drooling loads, munching on his hands a lot and cries in pain, he has also lost a bit of his appetite, and has a runny stool. it all looks very swollen. I've read that the cyst doesn't cause pain but it's very clear that area is painful. Could he be teething? I've been running a mixture for teething on his gums and it does give him temporary relief.
