My son (6 years) old has a problem with encropesis. I have done almost everything- I took him to different specialists and for play therapy. He is on a hi fibre diet and I used daily enemes at one stage to "train" the colon. I would like to know from other people who battled with the same problem.

This can be a very difficult problem to solve. Do not expect quick results with any approach. I do not think daily enemas would be the ideal option, but it is absolutely essential to ensure that your child is not constipated. A high fibre diet may not be enough in this regard. The best advice would be to stay with one single specialist that you trust and to allow him/her to coordinate the approach. It will take a lot of discipline, dedication and love to help your son through this, without any emotional scars.
