Itchy skin and black spots on face
Hi Paed.

My one yr old son once had itchy red blisters more like pimles on his face for more than 6months.There were not many maybe 4 or 5.I changed Paed as to establish the root cause of the problem and they would give me different diagnosis, some saying its an infection, others say its an allergy while when people look at him they thought he had chickenpox.I used all the creams i could buy but none seemed to help him.Eventualy i stopped giving him all the medicine and stopped using all the creams and relied on a calamine lotion which helped a bit but now the pimples are gone only black spots left on his face and at times he still scratches them. What can i use to get rid of the spots?Onother thing,he has a very dry skin,i've used aquas cream, epimex, vaseline but nothing is helping.I have since abstained from using scented lotions and soaps on him but still he is skin is still dry as ever.

Please help.

Thanking you in advance

It seems that your baby originally had a form of infantile acne ,which is not uncommon, and is now left with marks on his face. These will gradually fade by themselves. Try Epimax for dry skin.
