Little boy
Hi Dr
Please can you help me - silly question - I am a little concerned and I tried googling my problem but I can only find answers for the opposite problem.
My little boy, 2 years and 3 months is potty training and doing really well. The problem I have noticed is that he does not like touching his penis and seems very hesitant about touching it. I have no idea why as it seems all little toddler boys are suppose to be facinated with touching. Do you think there could be a problem? He is circumcised and has no redness and never complains of pain. He just seems a little nervous about his penis being touched.
Any comment would be appreciated.
Thank you for your time.

This is quite common, probably not as common as little boys of your son's age touching their penis out of curiosity, but still not at all unusual. The reason for little boys of 2 years not wantintg to touch their penis is not really known. There is obviously nothing wrong with his penis judging by what you have written here.Your son appears to be doing well and is even getting potty training right at his age which is good going. You do not have to be concerned.
