Prevener Vaccines
Good Morning Doctor

My friend came over to visit me last night, and spoke about a new immunization called Prevenar - a New vaccine to help prevent serious pneumococcal diseases like meningitis, pneumonia, blood and ear infections. My little one is now almost 6monhts, and her s 5monhts, she s taking her for the vaccine, she s heard of a little girl of 2 who has passed away of the virus... Could you please advise about the necisity (spelling) of the vaccination ? And whether it has side effects etc.

Please give your input, as I would just like to make sure... the vaccine costs R537-89 ... And I have to pay cash .. so I d rather want to make sure, though if this is so I would definitely be taking her soon.

This vaccine is a great advance in protecting children from pneumococcal disease. It is now a compulsory vaccine in many countries like the UK, USA & Australia. It is very safe and is highly recommended.
