Rash and Spots on baby
Yesterday I noticed a couple of spots on my 4-month old baby's chest almost like chicken pox. This morning it has spread onto her head as well. I've become extremely concerned. She hasn't been around children at all as she is at home with her granny looking after her.
Also, she has developed a red rash on her bum checks and that has also spread onto her back.
I had to buy a different brand of nappy. But she only used these nappies for 3 days before the rash appeared. Could this be the cause of the rash, or should I have her seen to?

It is difficult to be sure about this rash without being able to see your baby. The rash may simply be a heat rash which will clear up by itself. If your baby is well and is not feverish then it is unlikely to be due to an infection. It is not very common to find chicken pox in such a young baby, but it can occasionally occur. If you are concerned ask your doctor to see your baby.
