Sick 3 year old
My son is 3 years old. He had his tonsils taken out when he was 1 and a half years old. Since then he has not been sick, except for the common cold now and then.

The last two weeks, he has been so sick, flu symptons, the doctor said that he had tonsilitis, the other doctor said that he had just a bad flu, the other doctor said that he has got something wrong with his immune system and we should get him to get a full blood count test done to see if all is in order.

He is also terribly thin. We can literally see every bone in his body. He eats very well though. At school, he eats three meals a day, and then when he gets home, he eats at least twice before going to bed. He is very pale.

What could it be that is wrong with my son. I am so worried about him... We have now taken him to 3 different doctors and they all say something different. I just dont know what to do anymore. Please advise.

Thank you...

It is very difficult to be sure what is happening here without being able to examine your son. This is obviously not just the flu as he would be better by now. He appears to be losing weight and is ill and is pale. There could be many reasons for this particularly illnesses such as glandular fever or TB. He needs to be seen by a paediatrician who will make a proper diagnosis. I see that you have already taken him to 3 doctors, but you really need someone who is going to find out what is wrong with your son. If you write in again and tell me in which city you live I will recommend someone.
