Speech development
Luke will be 18 months next week. He has not said 1 proper word yet. When he cries he will say mama and baba, but that is all. I know he is hearing as he follows simple instructions and turns to sounds to see what it is.

Is this something to be concerned about, and if so what do we do about it?

Many chidren have delayed speech and are perfectly normal. Wait a while and if he is still very behind at 2 years take him for a check. The most important thing to find out is if he can hear normally.
