With Gilbert's syndrome there are usually no symptoms, but stomach aches and nausea can be common complaints in people with this syndrome. These symptoms usually occur when the bilirubin levels in the blood are high and often jaundice [yellow colour of the skin and eyes] occurs at the same time.It would be best to consult a paediatric gastroenterologist for your daughter. These specialists are in rather short supply and are usually attached to academic hospitals. Ask your paediatrician to refer you.
