Vaginal Rash / sleeplessness
Dear Doc, I have a 15 month old daughter. She normally sleeps throught the night but for the last two weeks has been waking up around midnight or shortly thereafter crying and very restless. She has also developed a rash on her vaginal lips- they look like red pimples. In addition to this she has cut two teeth. My husband is convinced that this is teething related but I am not certain whether two weeks down the line this could be the case as the teeth have already cut through the gum (she has a slight rash aswell on her right cheek). Other symptoms include her not wanting to eat a full meal. During the day she is fine with no niggles. My questions are:
Can this be teething two weeks down the line?
What can i use on her rash?
What medication can I use repeatdly for pain if it is teething (I have been giving her ponstal every second night with Vidol powder in between).?
I am concerned about the fact that she is not eating as much as I expect her to and she weighs 11.5kg - is this within the normal range?
Thank you.

I am not concerned about her weight. She is probably getting her molars now which is very painful.Use only Panado for pain and try Pansoral gel on her gums if she appears to be very uncomfortable.
Her vaginal rash may be due to candida. Has she had an antibiotic recently? Give her a probiotic such as Reuteri drops by mouth for 10 days and apply nystatin cream twice a day to the rash.
